The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine’s 2017 Annual Auction will be held on Friday, May 19th at the new events center at Thompson’s Point – the hottest new destination in Portland. Our 2016 gala was one of our most successful events to date, welcoming 375 guests and raising almost $100,000 in support of our exhibits, operations, programs and admission scholarships. Our guests enjoyed: desserts from Ilma Lopez of Piccolo, cocktails by Portland Hunt & Alpine Club, coffee from Coffee by Design, beer from Allagash Brewing Company and wine from Pine State Trading. We expect to have the same quality of food and beverage sponsors this year to delight our guests – stay tuned for updates on that front.

 

The Annual Auction is our largest and most important fundraising event of the year and it would not be possible without the support of generous corporate sponsors. Sponsorships help defray production costs and build awareness of the Museum & Theatre in the Portland business community.

The funds we raise on Auction night support the highest quality educational and cultural programs, offered to children and families year-round at the Museum. At last year’s event we were thrilled to raise over $15,000 in just 10 minutes supporting our scholarship membership program which provides free memberships to local families in need.

More than ever, we want our Auction to stand out as being the best in town so we’re shaking things up again and moving out to Thompson’s Point. We’re also planning even more pre-event promotion and additional social media opportunities for sponsors and Auction donors.  Please consider joining us as a sponsor and get your name and message out to our 400+ tastemakers who support local businesses!

Sponsorship Deadlines & Requirements

For inclusion in Auction Save the Date Card Mailing (2,000 distributed):

Logo must be received and agreement signed no later than February 10

 

For inclusion in Auction Invitation Mailing (1,500 distributed):

Logo must be received and agreement signed no later than March 10

 

For inclusion in all other event materials, including Auction Catalog:

Sponsor must be committed and all materials received by March 31

Logo requirements:

For printed materials: high resolution eps file, at least 300 dpi

For electronic use: jpeg or png file

Full color and black AND white versions needed

 

Catalog advertisement specs:

Full Page (7 7/8”W  x 10 3/8” H)
1/2 Page (7 7/8” W x  4 7/8” H)
1/4 Page (3 5/8” W x 4 7/8” H)

High-resolution, printer ready file, pdf or eps format preferred
