Shop for the perfect holiday gift AND support the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine!
The holiday sale launches on “Black Friday” and continues for 10 days.
Funds raised will go directly to support the Museum & Theatre during this unprecedented time. Our facility has been closed to the public since March 2020. Since that time we launched many new programs to continue to serve children and families. Additionally, we have been busy planning for our “grand” re-opening in our new facility on Thompson’s Point, in Portland, projected to be in Spring 2021.
Your support makes a BIG difference in continuing to bring hands-on education to children and families who need it most. Thank you for being part of our community!
A few of our newest programs, launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and our communities need for safe, high-quality learning-through-play include:

Youth Playwright Challenge & Festival: Children from Biddeford to Presque Isle participated in a play-writing challenge with mentorship from Museum & Theatre educators. Volunteer adult actors have performed many of the plays written on Zoom, with more to come in December.

WCTM Presents: News for kids, by kids: A team of kid news anchors, writers, and researchers, have put together a news show specifically for kids, teachers, and families.

At Home, Together: This is an online series of virtual programming, live-streamed on Facebook and now available on demand on our Youtube channel.

Afterschool partnership with Portland Public Schools: We have partnered with PPS to provide small pods of kids afterschool care.
All of these programs are free-of-charge and made possible through the incredible generosity of members in our community.
